Who goes to relationship therapy?
Relationship counselling is for consensual relationships of any structure, same sex couples, queer couples, heterosexual couples, people in long distance relationships, family members struggling to get along or friends.
Couples counselling & pairs work is for any 2 people who feel they want to work on their relationship. You might be married, co-habiting or living separately. You might be in a new relationship or celebrating 55 years of knowing each other.
You may be arguing frequently, feeling lost or stuck, struggling to make sense of each others behaviour, suffering a loss of intimacy, going through relationship changes, be in crisis or not managing to communicate with one another. Feelings like resentment, anger, frustration can show up in what was once the most loving relationships and couples therapy can help to make sense of what has changed.
Counselling offers space for both people to explore their thoughts and feelings to better understand what takes place within the relationship. Relationship / couples / pairs therapy can be about reconnecting, resolving long standing habits that have become irritating, learning more about each other through exploring ways of change and growth together.
Contact me to book an initial 1 hour session (fees) where we can meet and you can share what you feel you would like to discuss and what changes you think and feel might need to be made.
