LGBTQIA+ Aware Space
I offer a therapy space where you can explore all and any issues important to you regardless of how you identify, knowing that you will be accepted for who you are and who you might want to become.
For many in the LGBTQIA+ community being sure that you will be accepted for who you are, what you stand for, who you love, how you love and many of the other complexities that come with being part of a minority group can often bring fear and distrust, making it difficult to open up to strangers about LGBTQIA+ experiences. By making obvious that I practice in an aware space my aim is to provide from the offset a proclamation that I welcome all individuals with respect, an open mind and the belief that all people are OK and that I promote acceptance rather than mere tolerance.
If you have found yourself on this page, you may be searching for such a place to explore any or many parts of your story. I have experience is working with family acceptance, identity confusion, internalized homophobia, trauma incurred through homophobic assault, relationship issues, workplace related problems, sexual issues and self acceptance. It also may be that you are looking for a therapy space where your identity isn't the crux of the matter and also somewhere you can feel that it will simply be respected. Please click contact if you would like to meet with me to see if we might be a working fit.
I also offer couples counselling & pairs work.
